Overnight Geelong continued their unbeaten start to the season bringing up their third straight victory defeating the Crows at the Adelaide Oval by 24 points

Into the remaining matches this weekend and I am taking a multi with Gold Coast at the +36.5 points to either win or get within 6 goals of the Western Bulldogs into Port Adelaide at the +36.5 points to either win or get within 6 goals of Brisbane into Fremantle at the -18.5 points to win by 19 points or more against Saint Kilda. The multi price is $3.76. If you wanted to go for a bigger multi you could include Melbourne, GWS and Collingwood to also win which takes it to $12.76.

Looking for some First Goal Scorer glory at big odds and I have backed Isaac Heeney at $14,  Aaron Naughton at $10, Josh Kennedy at $9, Ben Brown at $7.50 and Jesse Hogan at $8.50.

The WAFL season gets underway this weekend and over the last two seasons a guaranteed way to make money has been to back Subiaco to cover the line all season. They look to have a mighty team on paper again this season and I will be backing them to cover the line this weekend and right through the season.

I will take a multi with South Sydney to win and the Melbourne Storm to cover the line and beat Canterbury by 19 points or more. The multi price is $2.94.

I will have a multi on the Perth Glory to defeat Central Coast into Melbourne City to beat the Brisbane Roar into Sydney FC to either win or draw against the Melbourne Victory. The multi price is $2.42.

I’ll opt for a multi with Liverpool, Chelsea and Newcastle United to win their respective matches this weekend. The multi price is $4.65.

It is day one of the Championships at Randwick while locally we have the richest 2 Year Old Race of the season, the Karakatta Plate.

My best bets of the weekend are as follows :

Randwick Saturday Race 8 Number 7 Osborne Bulls (TABtouch Fixed Odds Price $4.60) : Gun sprinter who has had 16 career starts for 9 wins and 6 placings and while this is an outstanding Group 1 lineup I can’t go past the Bull. He has a fine record at this trip where he has had 9 tries for 6 wins and 3 placings and is versatile on all surfaces. I will be backing him each way and will also take a trifecta where I will include Santa Ana Lane, Trapeze Artist and Shoals with Osborne Bulls.

Rosehill Saturday Race 9 Number 20 Brutal (TABtouch Fixed Odds Price $6.50) : Talented Three Year Old who meets a first class lineup in this year’s Doncaster Mile. Under the conditions of the race gets in with just 49 kilograms and while he is giving away experience has plenty of class.  Ran a very nice second behind Winx at his most recent start in the George Ryder and should run a mighty race at great each way odds.

Ascot Saturday Race 3 Number 8 Catherine Wheel (TABtouch Fixed Odds Price $3) : Talented three year old filly who won her only career start in impressive fashion. Looks to have plenty of upside and drawn nicely in barrier four. Can make it two from two in this event.

Ascot Saturday Race 8 Number 1 Jericho Missile (TABtouch Fixed Odds Price $2.75) : Won the 2 Year Old Magic Millions at Pinjarra in fine style and with the benefit of last week’s run should be peaking for this. Has drawn nicely in barrier 6, has the services of William Pike and has been extremely well backed. Should be right in the finish.

Mandurah Friday Race 4 Number 1 Go Pro (TABtouch Fixed Odds Price Not Available) : Ran a new PB from this draw last week and should be hard to beat once again. Other nice plays look to be 3-8 Grand Larceny each way 6-5 Mottza and 8-2 Westdale Bandit.
